Why Partner with Planet Furniture?

Craftsmen assembling solid wood shelving units at the Planet Furniture factory in Chonburi, Thailand

01

Direct Thailand Furniture Factory

Rooted in Thailand since 2000, Planet Furniture is a direct manufacturer of solid rubberwood and acacia furniture. By removing the middleman we give global B2B buyers authentic craftsmanship and genuinely competitive wholesale pricing — the drying yard, machine shop, finishing booths and packing line all sit on one site in Chonburi.

02

Custom OEM & Scalable Production

We are more than a supplier; we are the manufacturing partner behind other people’s brands. From minimalist TV cabinets to complete living room sets, our plant takes a drawing through sampling, first-article approval and full production without it ever changing hands. Start from a catalogue piece and modify it, or bring your own drawings — the route through the factory is the same.

Certified Quality & Global Export

Quality control here is four inspections, not one final look: at the clamp racks, after machining, before finishing, and again before wrapping. Our timber comes from FSC-certified suppliers — the certificate is held by the sawmills we buy from, not by this factory, and we would rather you heard that from us than from an auditor.

04

Rubberwood, or Hévéa

The grain is pale, close and even, which is why rubberwood takes stain and paint predictably across an order of five hundred pieces rather than five. Every board is kiln-dried to 8–10% moisture content before it reaches the machine shop — the single step that keeps a panel flat once it has crossed the equator, and the first thing we would show you on a factory visit.

05

Acacia & Other Species

Acacia is our second timber and buyers choose it for colour rather than price: it runs from honey through to deep chocolate within a single board, and it is harder and denser than rubberwood, which suits table tops, bench seats and contract furniture for hotels. Neither species is a limit — if your programme calls for oak, ash, pine or mango we source and quote it, and the joinery, finishing line and four QC stages stay identical whatever goes through the machines.

Built for Two Export Markets

Sustainable Solid Wood Furniture Manufacturer

Our main timber is rubberwood — Hevea brasiliensis, traded across France and Belgium as hévéa. Rubber trees are grown for latex for around twenty-five years and the wood is harvested only once a tree stops producing, so nothing is felled from natural forest to make it. That is exactly why rubberwood traces cleanly through an EUDR due-diligence file while mixed-source tropical hardwoods do not.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Find answers regarding our wholesale manufacturing, MOQ, and global shipping. As a leading solid wood furniture manufacturer in Thailand, we make your B2B import experience smooth and transparent.

Which port do you ship from?

We load at our factory in Chonburi and export through Laem Chabang, Thailand’s main deep-sea port, roughly an hour from the works. Containers are stuffed and sealed on site under our own quality control, so what the surveyor counts at the factory is what arrives at your door. We quote FOB Laem Chabang as standard and can price CIF to most European and North American ports on request.

Do you manufacture to our drawings, or only from your catalogue?

Both. Alongside our own catalogue range we run full OEM production to your drawings and full ODM development where you bring a brief and we bring the design. Send a technical drawing, a photograph, or a sketch with dimensions, and you will get a quotation and a sample timeline back. Solid-wood tooling is far lighter than metal or plastic tooling, so bespoke work is rarely as expensive to start as buyers expect.

What timber do you use, and is it certified?

Solid rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis) and acacia, both plantation-grown, with other species such as oak, ash, pine and mango sourced on request. Our timber comes from FSC-certified suppliers. We state it in exactly those words on purpose: the certificate is held by the sawmills we buy from, not by this factory, so we do not call the finished furniture FSC-certified. If your customer requires full chain-of-custody certification through to the finished piece, raise it at enquiry stage and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot document today.

Can you supply the paperwork our EU customs broker needs?

Yes. Because rubberwood is plantation timber, its origin traces back to a defined plantation rather than a mixed forest concession, which is what makes an EUDR due-diligence statement practical instead of painful. We supply the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the timber documentation your importer of record needs in order to file. Tell us which member state you are clearing into and we will confirm the exact document set before you place the order.

    Can we visit the factory?

Yes, and we would encourage it. The works are at 72/6 Moo 1, Nong Yai, Chonburi 20190 — about ninety minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport and close enough to Laem Chabang to watch a container being loaded on the same trip. Buyers who cannot travel are welcome to a live video walkthrough of the drying yard, the machine shop and the finishing line instead.
